It came to us one day when we were sitting in a restaurant talking about a best-selling novelthere are tons of books flooding the markets, tons more reviews on all of them. But which do you go by? When the reviewers dont share your viewpoints or beliefs, you often end up reading books you dont like or missing ones that a friend somewhere down the line tells you was great. We decided there should be a Christian review, one that critiqued not only the books in the strictly Christian genre, but those that Christians are more likely to read from the mainstream or literature world, too. We wanted to create something that would not just say whether or not a Christian should or shouldnt read something, but how to read it, what to keep in mind while doing so. So from literature our kids are likely to encounter in public schools, to the New York Times Bestsellers List, to the tomes on display in your local Christian Bookstore, the Christian Review of Books is here to give you a little guidance. The reviewers at CRoB frequent various genres and have accompanying backgrounds. But all of us share core beliefs, appreciate books in general, and we’re more than willing to sift through the chaff to find that good grain in the written word. Since there are so many stories out there, however, we need input from our subscribers to let us know what it is you’d like to see reviews of. Our archive of reviews is ever growing, so feel to browse both the new additions and those released in the past. It’s our hope and prayer that we can help our fellow believers better choose and appreciate the books to fill their time, and that we'll become your source for Christian book reviews. "A blessed companion is a booka book fitly chosen is a life-long friend." Douglas William Jerrold, journalist and playwright
